Collins Hume to chair tourism industry roundtable

Collins Hume Partner and Business Strategist Peter Fowler will chair an industry roundtable forum on the future of tourism in our region.

On 25 October, Northern Rivers Tourism (NRT) will host 30-40 industry, local government and key stakeholder representatives to gain input into the strategic direction for tourism in our region in the next nine years.

Facilitated by Peter Fowler, the purpose of the roundtable workshop is to produce recommendations that our region's tourism industry can take to the Forum of Regional Tourism Organisations (FORTO) Regional Industry Forum being held in Sydney in November regarding the future direction of Regional Tourism toward 2020.  

FORTO will in turn be providing its consolidated recommendation to the State Government established Visitor Economy Taskforce (VET) as part of their research and planning for tourism in NSW.

The aim of the workshop is to identify, debate and agree on specific research and planning strategies for the Northern Rivers region through NRT's leadership.
