Collins Hume receive second Parliamentary mention
Collins Hume received another NSW Parliamentary mention on 16 May 2018 from Hon Ben Franklin MLC, Parliamentary Secretary for Renewable Energy and Northern NSW.

NSW ParliamentMr Franklin congratulated the whole Collins Hume team for receiving the 2018 Accounting Services Award at this year's Australian Small Business Champions Awards held last month.

Mr Franklin said it was a wonderful achievement.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our community and I am thrilled Collins Hume have been recognised for the wonderful services they provide for Ballina and the wider North Coast community." 

Collins Hume Partner Christopher Atkinson who accepted the award in Sydney said that he was extremely proud of how far Collins Hume had come as a regional business, with the support of a great team and wonderful clients who really engage and challenge the firm to achieve amazing results.

"It is an honour to be awarded the Australian Business Champion Accounting Services Award," Chris said. "There is no one person that can be acknowledged for this achievement as it is truly a team effort and I cannot thank everyone enough. While I may accept the award, I do it on behalf of all the whole Collins Hume team."

"Congratulations to everyone for their own small business success which takes the support of your partner, your kids, your parents and close friends because that's what it takes."

Collins Hume was Ballina Coast and Hinterland Business Excellence Awards' Sustainable Business Winner, Professional Services Winner and Business of the Year in 2017. The firm is also shortlisted as Finalists in six national categories at the prestigious Accountants Daily Australian Accounting Awards 2018. Winners will be announced on 1 June in Sydney.
