The Awards seek to acknowledge the hard work that business owners contribute to the local community in generating employment for millions of Australians, as well as their contribution to the Australian economy.
The Australian Small Business Champion Awards is the pinnacle of business success. They recognise the values associated with successful small businesses. These values include service, commitment, leadership, endurance, courage, innovation, performance, persuasion and generosity.
The Hon Michael McCormack MP says, "There is not a day as Australia's Small Business Minister where I do not meet a business owner or operator with a great idea, an amazing dedication or an inspiring passion for what they do. From the largest of our nation's cities to its smallest towns and villages, Australia's more than 2.7 million small businesses have an incredible story to tell."
The judging process includes the involvement of around thirty individuals from different industries who review the entries to determine the category winners. Judges come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including government representatives, association representatives, university lecturers, accountants, marketers, shopping centre representatives and small business people.
The 2018 Champions winners will be announced to an audience of around 1,000 guests at The Star Event Centre on Saturday 21 April.
The evening is the ultimate celebration for Australian Small Business featuring leading Australian entertainment, fine dining and drinks all set in a spectacular "Oscars" atmosphere. Collins Hume are grateful to be Finalists and wish all participants very best wishes.
